Soccer

Soccer – what can we say about it? It’s a sport, and sports are good because they give people something to do and hopefully keep them out of trouble. During the January school holidays, there were a lot of soccer matches happening over at Teop Island and a lot of people went, either to play or to watch. I didn’t go very many times, but here are some photos from when I did go.

The house we stayed in at Teop Island was right next to the sports field, so every afternoon we could see and hear the young men playing soccer. They were practicing for a competition in which they were hoping to win and receive the prize-money.
