Can you see the four red dots on my arm in the photo below?
The funny thing is, they’re not raised, and they’re not sore or itchy, so really they’re the best kind of bite to have! They don’t cause any problem. I’m just curious as to what they are – where they’ve come from. Any ideas anyone? The local people don’t know about them, as they don’t show up on their skin.

Sun spots??? I get them.
I don't know. They disappear fairly quickly too. Do sun spots disappear like that?
I get those same spots. They aren't raised, about that size, don't itch and I also have no idea where they come from...
Hi Julie
Did you find out what they were? I have some on my skin too not itchy not raised and it goes dry and peeled off eventually.
I noticed something similar on both my arms just today. Did you ever find out what they were> I have two on my left and three on my right. Flat, don't hurt and don't itch.
To Anonymous on Sept 1 and Michelle Gilbert - No, I have never found out what they are. Anonymous, yours sound different to mine, as mine don't go dry or peel off, they simply disappear and quite quickly (not 'eventually').
I was getting in the shower tonight after a 1400 mile trip to take my only daughter to college. I found two little dots on my arm just as you have described them.
There are 2, and they are different in size, with the largest being 1/4". They are flush with my skin, and there is no itching or anything. Has anyone found out what they are?
I got them on my hand at first, many, many dots. They started on the left and eventually moved to the right. they went away and almost a year later, they popped up again this time on my forearm but they went away within a couple days only to show up on my right foot and up my leg to about mid shin. They just show up and disappear, never really any signs that they'll show up. Has anyone else had theirs moving about like this?
Ok everyone. I got these spots in Papua New Guinea. Whatever spots you have got are probably not the same. No I haven't found out what they are or where they came from. That's all I have to say on this subject and will not reply to future comments. This is not a health question and answer page. Try Yahoo for that kind of thing.
I have no idea what these are byt have them as well, if you find out what these are please leave a link to them. thanks internet.
I was weeding in the garden earlier and a few hours later have noticed these same red little patches all over my body (one on my shoulder as well which wouldnt have touched any plants) so I guess them to be bites from nearly invisible insects because i did not see or feel anything, they arent itchy or raised either, i expect them to fade eventually
Yes mine recently have shown up like this on my right hand and went to my left hand and disappeared the next day and now I have one in the middle of my right hand and one on my right wrist just above my tattoo. Have no idea what it is though but they showed shortly after finishing antibiotics.
Seems like no one knows what these are😔
I started getting them on my legs only a few and then my other leg, a few months later now there on my arms, they do disappear in a few days, they don't itch and don't peel🤔
I started getting these odd spots a few months ago. Randomly appear and then disappear a few days later. Some just go away, some dry out and flake off.
I‘m on the island of Maui. I live in a very windy area near fallow fields so a lot of dust gets blown around my house. I’m leaving this info so we can hopefully find something that links us all together.
I noticed the last time I got the spots was after an hour and a half at the beach. The water was clear and it was sunny out.
Also, my neighbor just showed me a bunch of the same spots on her foot and lower leg. Same small size, flat and so not itchy.
Very mysterious.
I hate to say this because I don’t want to plant thoughts they may mean nothing but I live very close to a Monsanto field and there is a new farm within 10 miles, upwind, that has been spraying suspicious substances.
Other than that there has been no change to my diet and no odd bugs in the house.
